इतिहास के प्रति उत्साही लोगों के लिए यह स्थल अपना अलग महत्व रखता है. साथ ही पर्यटक अपने दोस्तों, परिवार जनों के साथ घूमने के लिए यहां पहुंचते हैं.पर्यटक शुभम सती ने बताया कि चांदपुर गढ़ी चमोली जिले में प्रसिद्ध पर्यटक स्थल है. जहां उत्तराखंड का एक ऐसा इतिहास है जिसे सभी को जानना जरूरी है क्योंकि पंवार राजाओं की यह राजधानी रही और 52 गढ़ों में से एक गढ़ भी है. साथ ही वह बताते हैं कि ऊंचाई पर स्थित होने के कारण गढ़ सुंदरता से भरा हुआ है. साथ ही गर्मियों में यह स्थान पर्यटकों को अपनी ओर खींचने का काम करता है. और पर्यटक दूर-दूर से यहां पहुंचते है.

It is located near Kanakchauri village on the Rudraprayag - Pokhari route in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India. The temple is perched on a ridge at the top of Kronch Parvat and offers stunning views of the Himalayas.

Significance: The temple is one of the few temples dedicated to Lord Kartikeya in North India. It is believed that Lord Kartikeya offered his bones as a testimony of his devotion to his father, Lord Shiva, at this very spot.

Trekking: The temple is accessible by a 3 km trek from Kanakchauri village. The trek is relatively easy and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

Views: The temple offers panoramic views of the Himalayas, including peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba.

How to reach: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 200 km from the temple. The nearest railway station is Rishikesh, which is about 180 km away. From both these places, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Kanakchauri village, from where the trek to the temple begins.

The name Adi Badri is derived from the Adibadridham group of temples, located approximately 25 kilometers from Karanprayag on the way to Dwarahat in Kumaon. The group consists of 14 remaining temples that were originally believed to number 16. These temples, which were constructed between the 8th and 12th centuries, are dedicated to Lord Vishnu and various other deities including Shri Lakshminarayan, Gaurishankar, Annapurna, Surya, Satyanarayan, Ganesha, Siva, Garuda, Durga, and Janki. The main temple in the group is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, while the subsidiary shrines are dedicated to the other deities. The temples belong to the Panch- Badri(five Badri) temples in the area. Uttarakhand govt has created a Panch Badri circuit and GMVN(Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam) has a guest house in the town.
